Section 3B Uniform Hiring Hall Procedures

Anyone who does not accept two or more calls within their skills and within the  geographic areas they stated as acceptable at time of sign-in will have their name moved to the bottom of the list unless an explanation is offered in writing.  The first explanation will be accepted by the hiring hall.  Any further failure to accept a job call will automatically cause that worker's name to be moved to the bottom of the list.  Anyone who quits or is fired for cause within  the first 40 working hours after dispatch will be moved to the bottom of the list.

The State of Washington Department of Employment Security requires the union to disclose when someone using the hiring hall is not available for dispatch or refuses a dispatch.  All members of the Union must be advised that failure to be available for or refusal of dispatch may affect his or her eligibility for  unemployment insurance benefits.  Any failure to be available for or refusal of an dispatch must be reported by both the member and the Union
